Hi from somewhere in the deep south

Just thought I'd introduce myself. I am the girl who shuttles back and forth between Asheville, Athens, and Atlanta. My real home has yet to be disclosed, even to me, so I sleep on predetermined couches and day beds in one of three cities until I wear out my tenuous welcome. The Old 97's have been a mainstay in my car stereo, guiding me through the night as I head from one not-home to another. I've even learned to convert their music into distance and time. For example, the trip from Asheville to Athens is just a "Blame It On Gravity" x 2 and an "Alive and Wired." Athens to Atlanta is a "Too Far To Care," a "Satellite Rides," and three or four songs off Rhett's "The Believer." It sounds much nice than 250 miles and three-and-a-half hours.

     Cheers.

Now that's how to travel. We should figure out how to write a Google Maps applet that uses your math.

Welcome welcome, we hope you stick around.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one who listens to the Old 97's constantly.  Now, my husband likes this band which is lucky for me, but even he has his limits.  I grumble loudly when he tries to change the CD in the car.  He never has to ask what I'm googling at any given time because he already knows. I listen to them all day at work and my White Stripes CD is feeling very unloved.  Too bad.  I can't help myself.  I am well and truly addicted to the Old 97's.  Yes, it's nice to meet you all.
