A gift for you.

December 24, 2010

Check out the Media page for a little holiday gift from Murry. Hope you have a great one. Let’s be safe out there.

  1. I’ve been wanting to get a copy of this for awhile. Thanks guys! Merry Christmas.

  2. Love this music. In the very best way, I could share it with my grandad. Wish I could. I think he’d love it too. Thanks, Murry. Beautiful Job.

Aww, Murry is the sweetest! We have enjoyed this album since it first came out. It is haunting and soothing all at the same time.

Happy New Year, it will be here so soon!

    • This is honestly one of my favorite albums of all time. It was like discovering Hank Williams or Ralph Stanley or the field recordings of Alan Lomax for the first time. The words and themes, the vocals and sounds resonated with me like nothing else has in a long time. I wanted to buy it for close friends, to share this secret music with them, but it was out of print on Amazon. I didn’t want to rip Murry off and burn them a copy. But Murry, ever the man of God, has given it away. I cannot wait to tell my friends. (P.S.: “You were born to be in battle” broke my heart all over again, in the best of ways).

  3. Josh Compton said it best, so I’ll just give a hearty “Thanks Murry”- hopefully the new year will find us listening to a second solo album of those sweet tunes!

  4. Love. Love. Love.

  5. This is what Heaven sounds like to me. 🙂 If you have not taken the time to listen to it then you are truly missing out on something beautiful and special. It’s old and new at the same time. It’s sad and it’s uplifting. It’s perfect. Thank you for this Murry, and please please give us a new one soon.
